This site will be dedicated to the building of a
datalogging system for use in high-power motorsports, the project
is named: dLogger, where "d" stands for "data", "d" stands for "de"
(meaning "the" in Dutch) and as comparison to blogger, since a
blogger also publishes on a webpage like dLogger does.
dLogger get it's data from 1-wire sensors, and
via the webinterface the client is presented with a flash based
graph. dLogger will present itself as wireless accesspoint so the
user/reader can connect to that network and acces the data
real-time or view the history in his/her webbrowser.
Maybe in the future there will be an addon that wil display some
basic information on a monitor (small 10" version as dashboard) but
I don't have the coding skills to make that work. (yet)
Base of the system is a normal mini-itx mainboard with a Compact
Flash card as the harddrive, a wlan interface setup as accesspoint
and 1-wire sensors connected to the serial port.
The software is all open-source (except the flash
part in the webif, if anyone knows a good replacement for this
please contact me), linux as host OS and a whole lot of utilities
to make it all happen.
